This is a beautiful vintage kilim can be used as a wall hanging or on a floor though it would be better suited for a lower traffic area.This piece has a beautiful subtelty and with random colour and design changes that are typical of traditional hand weavings .
The colors on this kilim indicates it's age with the use of natural dyes of real chocineal for the raspberry tones, apricot kernels, and dried straw for the subtle yellowish green.These colors are now no longer used in any Turkish weavings.
Its also rare to find may of the designs and symbolism (including the Mother Earth Godess symbol ) that have been so delicately woven into this beautiful treasure.
